• Kerr: “Otto's absence is a really big deal. We’ll see how he is moving forward.” (Dickinson)

• Kerr declined to go into how meaningful it would be for the Warriors to reach the NBA Finals for the first time since 2019: “I'm locked in on tonight, and we've got a lot of work ahead, so we'll talk about that one later.

• Kerr believes the high number of blowouts in these playoffs does have a bit to do with such a high volume of 3-point attempts: “The game has been trending this way for a decade ... it's hard to guard.” (Dalton Johnson)

• Kerr on his pregame speech two nights ago on America's gun violence problem: “I've had a lot of people reach out to me, most asking what they can do to help. What I’m asking people to do is get involved in their local communities…call your senators, call your representatives, it's very helpful…I have lots of friends who are Democrats and lots of friends who are Republicans. All I know is they all want gun violence to go away, so we just need to get our public servants to respond.” (Johnson, Melissa Rohlin, Callie Caplan)

KIDD PREGAME

• Kidd was asked about his comment that the Warriors play zone because they can’t guard them one-on-one. He said it’s a compliment to his guys, not a shot at the Warriors, but also, “This is the most that we seen a zone & it’s for my guys...It’s just a fact & I played the game, so when a coach says we have to do something that we don’t normally do, it’s because we can’t do something.” (Rohlin, Landon Buford)
