Want to see JK? He has to play the GUI Santos role. Hustle, rebound, score on put backs. He isn’t Kobe yet.

I already wrote about that: https://www.letsgowarriors.com/p/truths-about-jonathan-kuminga-role-physicality-minutes-contract-warriors-lacob-portland-clippers ...again, to DNP him and not give him at least something slightly less than the previous 18 minutes (10 minutes?) is just... well, it's Steve

Excellent podcast. The fatal flaws and the Kuminga gambit. I don't see much future here for JK, whether Kerr is right or wrong.

Halftime vs Memphis. No Kuminga. Gui gets the call. Our defense is the key. We should close this game out so no one else has to witness Ja's antics, imo. After this game, things will get really interesting.

Thanks for the insights and your historical reminisces ...

I agree that not playing Jonathan Kuminga at all vs Clippers was not in the team's long term best interests. The Ws lost the game so maybe not the best decision even for that game. But those that played Sunday played well and they were right there with the Clippers who had been the hottest team in the West so I'm not sure JK would have made that much of a difference.

Not sure Steve Kerr's reference for Ty Lue and therefore shortening the rotation (No Gui Santos either) is really a fatal flaw to his otherwise pretty exemplary coaching.

Hard for me to speculate about all the contract and salary considerations that may have been a part of those rotation decisions. I do think we will probably see both JK and Gui in for some run tonight, based in part on this:

"I didn't tell him he wasn't gonna play 'cause I wasn't sure if he was gonna play or not..."

I think this is an important quote (which I had not read elsewhere).

Kerr seems like he is pretty upfront with his players. I think he has given all of the young ones chances at some points this season and during their careers. It is hard to mange minutes in crucial games and especially with veteran stars.

Hope to see great result tonight.

I was wrong about Kuminga playing. Sad to see that, but accept that coaches know best.

Very happy with the result.

At least 4 more Warriors' game this season!!!
