PMC, what is your take on GP2? I think he should be signed and get the bulk of mpg as the backup PG. Now that we've got more scorers on the roster, his defense is big, big, big. Dowtin is also on my radar, now. After 2 games of Summer League, he looks like he could belong. He is a natural PG and can pass and shoot. He has also been more impressive than Mannion and very much in control of his game. Letting Mannion and Mulder walk would allow us to sign these two guys, actually to guarantee GP2 and sign Dowtin to at least a 2 way. What are your thoughts?
Hard to judge actual NBA context in Summer League. GP2 isn’t gonna play against Summer League comp. You have to take SL games with the biggest grain of salt imaginable lol. You want to find guys who have proven their mettle in the NBA. So, we’ll see what free agency brings us. I’d be shocked if there weren’t better available, proven NBA players than GP2 and, of course, Dowtin.
GP2 has proved himself a top notch defender in the nba games we saw him in last season. There is no doubt in my mind he can help us. While he and Dowtin look particularly good in SL, their skill sets will fit in with the Dubs and Dowtin can be a two way player honing his craft in Santa Cruz. We've already gotten the help we've needed scoring wise. Now, we need to add IQ and fill any holes that exist and backup PG is one of those holes. We've got a good group of players ready to play and with Klay, oh boy!!
Yes, Twitter has even suspended us twice for having a video with background music that was copyrighted, specifically by UMG (Universal Music Group), who is apparently very aggressive on that front. For example, we copied an Instagram video post of KD at a youth camp in San Diego or whatever it was a few years ago and got suspended because they happened to be playing a Jay-Z song at the camp in the background.
Nice to see the players on the floor, PMC. GP3 and JTA looked ripped. GP3 has a powerful upper body. Kuminga seemed the least ripped of the bunch. Moody looks like the shooter we want. Poole looks comfortable, and JTA is already in form.

Let me put it this way. If it’s Avery Bradley or Raul Neto vs GP2, I pick Avery Bradley or Raul Neto every time. It does not mean I dislike GP2.
