I respect his decision but i feel its just uncalled for to talk about the level of immunization in japan. Once you are vaccinated and you maintain social distancing, you are good. Its not like he was working oversees. He has always been with his kids..For people like me that put ourselves in harms way for altruistic purposes..my dad was a military man and im sure he was away from me for more than 6wks every year and i kinda turned out fine..Personally when it comes to representing my country, i always lookat those military men who risk their lives to keep us safe. If they can,noamount of incovenience is too much for me..USA basketball will be fine but i dont think that reason he gave is good optics.. just say you want to rest and thats it..
And salut to the military men that have to be away from their family for MONTHS, not just weeks.
