This is why I like Murphy at 14 more than any of the guards. No, he is not a super athlete but a knock down shooter who can play 3/4 and switch up/down to 2-4 and maybe 5 (especially vs small ball 5s) really strengthens us off the bench.

Also, all reports is he is really smart (Yale recruit) & high character (chose UVA to transfer vs traditional basketball schools)

Yes I think wings are at a premium and if you can get one in the Draft, you try and do so because it gets a lot more expensive otherwise — and the Warriors are lacking in that department and need to catch up to teams like ATL and PHX in that category.

I didn't hear much about Murphy early in the draft discussion, but his name is coming up more and more these days. Add him to the list of prospects I would be happy to see don a Dubs jersey.

Yes, see my rant on wings above, but then again there are a lot of solid guys in this Draft and you would hope a squad with three HOFers (four if you count Kerr) will be able to ease any of them in.

If wings are so important, why didn't the Dubs take Kispert at #14, a proven marksman who seems NBA ready to me? If Kuminga is a wing, he hasn't displayed that shooting touch that is an all important mark of a 3 and D player. Granted, he has upside, but he is not the kind of player I ever thought the Warriors would choose at #7. It goes against how I see this team developing. Let's hope I'm wrong. Maybe they'll use him in a trade.

Kispert is more of a shooter than a wing. Kinda same with Klay. By wings we mean 3&D. Think Andre, Mikal, long wingspans.
