If you still believe "You don't hate Draymond, you just hate where he comes from..." applies...

What should the Warriors, the NBA, Rich Paul, any of us, or anybody do now?

I am very torn and confused.... I really believe that the incidents he has been suspended for are basically basketball related in the heat of the moment competition.Yes, overly physical aggressive actions and therefore somewhat violent in nature. But I do understand that this can be seen as somewhat normal reaction from a rough and tumble basketball upbringing.

It sounded like you have suggested meditation or hypnosis in the past... Nice idea, if maybe uncertain results.

To me the indefinite suspension is a weak action for a league that does not know how to handle the situation. The number of games and docked pay checks will not (IMO) achieve anything more than then previous suspensions have. I have not seen nor heard any other real help related suggestions including from the league and team.

I posted this elsewhere but next is an idea that I had... I don't know NBA contracts and CBA ramifications so quite probably unreasonable, but even if "out of the box" it is something that

is focused on helping a basketball player to rein in his over exuberance to be able to continue to play in a very high profile and therefore demanding league....

.A form of "indefinite suspension" :

Assign Draymond to the Santa Cruz Warriors indefinitely, with anger management counseling... maybe more helpful in SC than previous attempts since it is in a pretty laid back ocean town.

Further Stipulations:

The Sea Dubs must win 5 games with Draymond playing 25- 30 min per game. He can not foul out, receive a technical foul, or flagrant 2. If he does add another game to the 5 with a necessary victory. While with Santa Cruz his status is like any of their players... same accommodations, travel, meal money, practice schedules, etc. He loses his NBA salary due to suspension, is paid G League minimum salary, with the difference donated to charity determined equally between NBA league office and NBA players' association.

Back to the roots, or almost playground basketball might be good for Dray... Give him some time to think about what pure basketball means for him and his future. The hope is this may get him to realize he can return to playing winning basketball while keeping his play within acceptable bounds.
